AYS
18-HOUR SINGATHON
Held
FRI, NOV 13-SAT, NOV 14 downtown at Trinity UMC, AYS Singers performed
327 songs in 18 hours! Generous donors sponsored
an AYS Singer by the hour, by the song, and by the event, helping
AYS raise money for all AYS Choirs!
The
AYS Treble Tour Choir is working hard to raise money for
a choir exchange in Ireland this coming Summer! The Youth
Chorale will travel to Tampa, Naples and Orlando on regional
tour in January and the Introduction to Music-Making and
Training Choirs are visiting South Georgia on an overnight tour
in April.
All
AYS Choirs work hard in rehearsals and during the
year to bring music of living composers, Georgia, the Southeastern
region, and the U.S. to audiences all over the
world.
Approximately 18% of our Singers receive additional financial
assistance through the AYS All Our Voices in Harmony
Scholarship Fund .
We
want to make sure every Singer can travel
as a cultural ambassador – help make a dent with your
gift!
Our
goal is to raise at least $100/Singer in individual sponsorships
and $15,000 in group funds. The total cost for tours this year
is $204,667.
